Morning Mending - Intro Level

Happening Saturday, June 15th | 10am-12pm at Findings Flea, located at 33 S. Palm St. Downtown Ventura.

The only thing in fashion more sustainable than buying used or vintage, is repairing clothes you already own.

This workshop will focus on patching rips, tears or holes in your heavily worn clothes. You can bring your own piece of clothing that needs some love, or a practice piece of distressed cloth will be provided. 

We will start with a demo on how to do a standard patch, and will move on to talk about Sashiko stitching, the Japanese art of decorative mending. All materials and supplies will be provided, including a variety of patch material. 

All attendees will leave with the ability and confidence to repair their old clothes, and with a small mending kit.
